Vedantu presents the Class 12 Chemistry NCERT Book Free PDF download for those who are preparing for the upcoming Class 12 CBSE board exams. The NCERT solutions for Class 12 Chemistry PDF solutions provide you with the The CBSE Class 12 Chemistry NCERT Solutions have been curated by some efficiency while solving any question of NCERT Class 12 Chemistry textbook. Chemistry has made a profound impact on the society. It is intimately linked to the well-being of human kind. The rate of advancements in chemistry is so high.

NCERT textbooks are minimally priced as compared to private publishers. It is suitable for all categories of students and all Boards. But I would like to add that the NCERT books do not provide a comprehensive coverage of tricky questions and numerous riddles asked in exam papers. For this purpose, subject reference books are also needed. It increases their reasoning and logical thinking and sharpens problem-solving capability. According to the teachers, the question papers for board exams are formed from the NCERT textbooks and thus no student should forget reading these books at least once. So, a student who follows NCERT books will not have a problem if he or she shifts to another state because the syllabus is same anywhere. This is not the case for other boards. At the end of the day, what matters is the knowledge a person has gained and what one has learned in their life. It does not matter in which board of education one has studied or which books one has used to prepare for the examination. All the boards have different syllabus, rules and teaching style. The books preferred by these boards are easy for some while tough for others. Some have good teachers, lenient examination while some do not have these facilities.

This chapter also talks about the relation between the standard potential of the cell, Gibbs energy of cell reaction and its equilibrium constant. This solutions chapter will also help students differentiate between electrolytic and electronic conductivity, understand Kohlrausch law and its applications, and many more. Chapter 4 — Chemical Kinetics Students who wish to pursue engineering and medical science must pay special attention to this chapter of chemistry.

There are a total of six topics that have been covered in this chapter of chemical kinetics, which basically deals with the rate of a chemical reaction. The topics covered are the rate of chemical reaction, the factors that influence the rate of chemical reaction, the integrated rate equations, Pseudo First Order Reaction, the temperature dependence on the rate of reaction, and the collision theory of chemical reactions.

Chapter 5 — Surface Chemistry There are about six concepts that have been explained in this chapter of surface chemistry. After completing the chapter, a student will be able to classify emulsions, define adsorption and classify it accordingly, describe the interfacial phenomenon and its significance, explain adsorption results on the basis of Freundlich adsorption isotherms, explain the mechanism of adsorption, mention the factors controlling adsorption from gases and solutions on solids, list the uses of colloids, understand the role of catalysts in industry, describe the preparation, properties and purification of colloids, and describe gel formation.

Chapter 6 - General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements Around eight important concepts have been explained in details in this chapter to help students understand and learn well. This is a chapter that students must take seriously and it is advised to solve the questions that are listed at the end of the chapter to check how well you have understood the chapter. The topics covered in this chapter are the occurrence of metals, the concentration of ores and the cleaning process, the extraction of crude metal from ores, the thermodynamic and electrochemical principles of metallurgy, the refining process, and the uses of aluminum, zinc, copper, and iron among the others.

Chapter 7 — p Block Elements The 7th chapter is about p Block elements and is quite a lengthy chapter. However, it is important that students go through it well to fare better in examinations. Some of the topics included in this chapter are Group 15 Elements, Oxides of Nitrogen, the Allotropic Forms of Phosphorous, the Oxoacids of Phosphorus, the Group 16 elements, the simple oxides, the allotropic forms of sulfur, the oxoacids of sulfur, chlorine, and many more.

There are also exercises at the end of the chapter. Chapter 8 — The d and f Block Elements This is not a lengthy chapter like Chapter 7 but is an important one. The d and f block elements chapter introduces various important topics to the Class 12 students like general and physical properties of the transition elements d block , the formation of colored ions and complex compounds, variation in atomic and ionic sizes of transition metals, ionization enthalpies, magnetic properties, and oxidation states.

The chapter also introduces elements of d and f block of the modern periodic table, electronic configuration, chemical reactivity of the inner transition metals, and oxidation states.

Chapter 9 — Coordination Compounds This is a complex subject related to atoms and chemical reactions and hence students of Class 12 CBSE Chemistry must pay special attention to it to do well in the examination. There are eight topics that have been covered in this chapter.

There are questions at the end of the chapter and detailed explanations to important questions as well. After completing this chapter, students will be able to name haloalkanes and haloarenes based on the IUPAC system of nomenclature from their given structures, discuss the applications of organo-metallic compounds, correlate the structures of haloalkanes and haloarenes with various types of reactions, describe the reactions involved in the preparation of haloalkanes and haloarenes and talk about the various reactions that they undergo, understand how stereochemistry can be used as a tool for understanding the reaction mechanism, and know the environmental effects of polyhalogen compounds.

Chapter 11 — Alcohols Phenols and Ether There are six topics in this chapter and each must be studied well to do well in the examinations and for further study. After completing this chapter on alcohol phenols and ethers, students will know how to write the names of alcohols, phenols, and ethers according to the IUPAC system of nomenclature.

Students will also be able to name the physical properties of ethers, phenols and alcohols, understand the reactions involved in the process of making alcohol from alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, the reactions involved in the preparation of phenols from benzene sulphonic acids, haloarenes, cumene and from diazonium salts, and the reaction for the preparation of ethers from alcohols, alkyl halides, and sodium alkoxides.

Chapter 12 - Aldehydes Ketones and Carboxylic Acids This chapter on Aldehydes Ketones Carboxylic Acids deals with some important topics that students of class 12 Chemistry must study diligently.

After completing this chapter, students will be able to write IUPAC names and common names of ketones, aldehydes, and carboxylic acids.

Students will also be able to define the structures of the compounds containing functional groups of carboxyl and carbonyl groups, discuss the physical properties and chemical reactions of aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids with their structures and also understand the various factors that affect the acidity of carboxylic acids along with their reactions.
